• A carbon neutral council by 2030 contributing towards a net zero
city by delivering a heat network to reduce the energy bills for public
sector buildings.
• The best recycling rates in England by aiming to be the Number One
Council in England for recycling in the next two years.
• Invest over £3m in 昀氀ood prevention, to protect our local
communities, towns and villages from the worst impacts of climate
change.
Improve public transport.
• Improve local bus services by using new government powers
to better regulate local public transport services, using funding
provided by the Labour government.
• Support the delivery of a MK CityLink light-tram network for Milton
Keynes as part of the government’s New Town plans.
• Deliver a new and secure bike storage facility at Station Square.
