More affordable homes for local people.
• Support 2000 new council homes by submitting a bid to government
to use available brown昀椀eld land.
• Deliver 300 affordable homes for local families as part of the
Tickford Fields development and support the government’s New
Town plan for even more high quality, infrastructure 昀椀rst affordable
homes for local people.
• Tackle rogue landlords and poor housing by using the powers in
Labour’s new Renters Rights Act, paid for through savings made by
preventing illegal evictions.
Infrastructure-led growth.
• Speed up road adoptions on new estates by reviewing our Road
Adoptions policy to push developers to complete road works faster.
• Deliver community centres and shops more quickly for new estates
by investing developer contributions in temporary facilities that can
be reused as the city continues to grow, starting with facilities for
Whitehouse, Fair昀椀elds and Eagle Farm.
• Deliver a new primary school in Whitehouse.
Inclusive growth.
• Deliver a new discount food store for Galley Hill to help create jobs
and support the regeneration of the estate.
• A Universal Resort UK-ready MK, to make sure our city bene昀椀ts from
the huge economic and employment opportunities from a potential
8m tourists.
• Deliver the Agora regeneration scheme in Wolverton town centre.
